Welcome Dr. Jocelyn Ou!
We are excited to announce that Dr. Ou has recently joined Primary Eyecare Center. Call to schedule an appointment with her today! Drs. Hider, Immoos and Tackett encourage you to schedule with Dr. Ou whether you are a new or previous patient to our practice. She has an extra year of residency training in cornea and contact lenses and is an expert in fitting all types of contact lenses.
Dr. Ou was born and raised in the Bay Area, and graduated from UC San Diego with a major in Physiology and Neuroscience and a minor in Psychology. She then moved to New York City to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2018 at the State University of New York College of Optometry, graduating with awards recognizing her excellent academic performance and passion for optometry. She then pursued an extra year of residency education at the Southern California College of Optometry, where she trained extensively in the medical and optical management of diseased corneas. She is well-versed in optimizing vision in patients with irregular corneas through the use of specialty contact lenses. At the end of her residency, Dr. Ou was selected to be the recipient of the annual Bert and Lydia Corwin Contact Lens Residency Award.
Dr. Ou is passionate about all aspects of optometry, but especially enjoys the everyday interactions and conversations with her patients. In her free time, she enjoys baking, staying active with CrossFit, hiking, relaxing at the beach, and exploring new coffee shops and restaurants.
